Special Election – MeHIMA Call for Nominations for President-Elect
The Maine Health Information Management Association (MeHIMA) Nominating Committee is holding a Special Election due to the resignation of our current President, Linda Pooler. Linda has had to step down from this role due to unforeseen personal matters. Sue Hawes, our President-Elect, will step into this role and fulfill the commitments as President of the Association.
The Special Election will be held to fulfill the open President-Elect role. All nominees must be active MeHIMA members in good standing.
Duties of the President-Elect include: Serve as a resource to the President and shall assume the duties of the President in the event of absence of inability to act. The President-Elect shall appoint, with approval of the Board of Directors, standing committee chairs and special committees as needed prior to transition as incoming President. The President-Elect shall serve as chairperson of the Bylaws Committee. Candidate must have had previous MeHIMA Board experience as an Officer, Director or committee chair for a minimum of one year.
This is a wonderful opportunity to mentor, network, develop public speaking skills and become a valuable asset to your State association. Your expertise is valued and very much needed in order to keep MeHIMA and its members strong through our activities as a Component State Association of AHIMA.
